Viagra Boys Share New Single “Uno II”

Stockholm’s post-punk provocateurs Viagra Boys have unveiled their latest single, “Uno II,” alongside a surreal new music video. The track is the second preview of their forthcoming album, viagr aboys, set for release on April 25 via their newly launched label, Shrimptech Enterprises.

“Uno II” offers a characteristically offbeat take on paranoia, this time through the lens of frontman Sebastian Murphy’s Italian greyhound. The dog, who endured a year of dental issues and vet visits, became an unexpected muse. “He goes to this place, then wakes up in some weird room, and he’s missing his teeth,” Murphy explains. The track expands on the band’s knack for satirical storytelling, subtly tying Uno II’s confusion to the kind of conspiratorial obsessions Murphy has explored in past work.

Musically, Tor Sjödén’s shimmering drums, Oskar Carls’ flute embellishments, and chiming guitar sweeps create an eerie yet entrancing backdrop. Murphy turns his gaze inward at one point, admitting: “I seem like such a bitch / When I talk about Swedish politics.”

The accompanying music video, co-directed by Sebastian Murphy and André Jofré, follows Murphy as a Shrimptech Enterprises journalist sent to cover an innocuous Eastern European dog show. What starts as a simple assignment spirals into paranoia, surveillance, and psychological breakdown. Filmed guerrilla-style across Czechia, Finland, and Sweden, the video blurs the line between reality and delusion in true Vgra Boys fashion.

v**gr aboys sees Murphy shifting from outward political satire to a more self-reflective, yet equally absurd, approach. Co-produced by the band and longtime collaborator Pelle Gunnerfeldt, the album juxtaposes real life with high art, an idea mirrored in the Leo Park-designed cover artwork.
