Primavera Sound Add New Order To Lineup
Primavera Sound announce new headliner New Order for Barcelona and Madrid.
New Order will be joining the festival's line-up, offering the chance to experience their intergenerational anthems such as Bizarre Love Triangle, Blue Monday, Temptation, Thieves Like Us, The Perfect Kiss, True Faith, Love Vigilantes, Your Silent Face, and recent hits like Tutti Frutti and Be a Rebel. Bernard Sumner, Stephen Morris, Gillian Gilbert, Phil Cunningham, and Tom Chapman continue to provide melodic intuition and give it their all. In the past, you had to choose between guitars or synths. However, New Order challenged this notion by combining the two, proving that the sum was greater than its parts. They showed that it was possible to push pop music to new levels of aesthetics and emotions, without losing the essence of either instrument. Without their visionary intuition, the unique blend of sounds that is now commonplace at festivals like Primavera Sound Barcelona and Madrid 2023 may not have been possible.
Primavera Sound hit the nail on the head this year for 80s synth lovers by showcasing three giants of electronic pop: New Order, Depeche Mode, and Pet Shop Boys. It's a rare occasion where all three will be performing at the same event. New Order will grace the Parc del Fòrum on June 1st and the Ciudad del Rock in Arganda del Rey on June 8th, joining the impressive Thursday line-up that includes Blur, Halsey, Kendrick Lamar, Rosalía, Calvin Harris, The Moldy Peaches, Le Tigre, and Skrillex, among others.
