Trick Of The Light' set for release on 9th May.

London-based lo-fi artist Pop Miri is making waves in the music scene with the upcoming release of her debut album 'Trick Of The Light' on 9th May. Offering a taste of what's to come, Pop Miri has shared her latest single 'Cost Of Being Loved', a dream-pop exploration of the complexities of relationships and self-discovery.

The new single delves into the aftermath of a tumultuous breakup, juxtaposing scarred lyrical retrospections with a bright and blissful dream-pop sonic palette. Produced in collaboration with James Howard (known for his work with artists such as Dana Gavanski and Rozi Plain), the track captures the essence of Pop Miri's musical journey. Reflecting on the song, Pop Miri describes it as a "retrospective" piece, offering clarity and closure amidst the chaos of romantic failings.

'Trick Of The Light' is a nine-track collection that spans a variety of genres, including folk, dream-pop, avant-pop, and surf-psych. Written about and dedicated to her ex-husband, the album serves as a "breakup album about grief and perspectives." Recorded over three years and with the collaboration of nine different producers, the album showcases Pop Miri's evolution as an artist and her ability to create a cohesive musical vision.

Pop Miri is set to perform at various venues, including Studio Three Point Five in Manchester on 13th April and Folklore Hoxton in London on 9th May for her album launch. These performances offer fans the opportunity to experience her unique blend of genres live on stage.
