Kim Gordon Unveils The Collective

Set for March 8th release on Matador Records.

Renowned musician and visual artist Kim Gordon has announced her second solo album The Collective slated for release on March 8th via Matador Records. Following her critically acclaimed 2019 debut 'No Home Record Gordon continues to push creative boundaries in collaboration with producer Justin Raisen (Lil Yachty, John Cale, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Charli XCX, Yves Tumor), alongside additional production from Anthony Paul Lopez.

The album's lead single, ‘BYE BYE’ has already been unleashed, accompanied by a visually stunning music video featuring Coco Gordon Moore. Directed by the talented Clara Balzary, with cinematography by Christopher Blauvelt, the video offers a compelling visual narrative that perfectly complements the song's snaking bassline and haunting atmosphere.

Gordon's artistic vision continues to evolve in The Collective recorded in her native Los Angeles. The album promises to build on the incendiary sounds introduced in No Home Record delivering a dark and atmospheric journey.

Reflecting on the new release, English artist Josephine Pryde provides insight into the experience of listening to "The Collective," describing it as splintered, glittering, and immersive. The album delves into themes of love, relationships, and self-discovery.

Stay tuned for the release of The Collective on March 8th, as Kim Gordon continues to leave an indelible mark on the world of music and art.
