Chicago Band Deeper Joins Iconic Label Sub Pop
Celebrates with official video release for latest single "Sub" and announces upcoming tour dates.
Chicago-based band Deeper has joined the legendary label Sub Pop, marking a pivotal moment for the group. To celebrate their new partnership, Deeper has released an official video for their latest single "Sub." The band revealed that "Sub" was originally recorded in 2021 at a slower tempo, but after realizing it didn't work, they went back to the drawing board and created a new version with a faster tempo and different dynamics. The song's lyrics reflect on events from the last few years, jumping between the past and present. The video features characters from the band's previous videos stuck in a loop, waiting to move on to what's coming next. Deeper is currently working on their Sub Pop debut, which is set to release later this year. In the meantime, the band will embark on a 15-date tour starting on May 10th in Omaha, NE, at Reverb Lounge. The tour includes stops in Salt Lake City, Denver, Minneapolis, Chicago, Cleveland, Atlanta, and Orlando, as well as an appearance at this year's Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago.
