Start Listening To: Kyoto Kyoto

In the bands’ debut EP ‘Mirror Flexing Jaw’, art-school eclecticism meets ambition.

Kyoto Kyoto is a shared enigmatic ground where all the members, from Munich, Glasgow and London, met to exercise the strangest musical muscles. They must’ve realised early on that their conjoined body stretches in unusual directions. As if blessed by black midi or Squid and the best of folk, experimental rock and jazz, Kyoto Kyoto thrives in chaos. They make sense of the torn down, bathed in distortion riffs and power-ridden, often German, lyrics. Get lost in their mesmerising reflection on a debut EP, ‘Mirror Flexing Jaw’, as we did.
