Keyan’7e promises to change the music with his feel-good soulful bops.
Sometimes you need to dream big to make big things happen. Even if it requires a tad of delusion and a fair share of ambition. Keyan’7e has all of that and more to offer. Growing up between Chicago and St Paul Minnesota in a musical family, he’s had creativity flowing in his blood since day one. The ultimate mission is to produce feel-good tunes that anyone can relate to and chill into the smoothness of the melodies. Determined to achieve his goal, he’s done everything from selling candy at school to making websites to afford the equipment. Inspired by the greats like Missy Elliot or Tupac, the rapper sees himself on the charts next to the biggest name in the modern musical game. It's always been make it or break it for Keyan’7e. We’ll be there watching him making it.
Can you tell us who you are, where you’re from and about the music you make?
I am Keyante. I am the artist that will change music. I'm from Chicago but grew up in St Paul Minnesota. I make feel-good music, I want the listener to feel at home no matter what type of genre I'm doing.
How did it all start?
I’ve always loved music. I come from a musical family but when I was like 13 or 14 me and my cousin made my first song, he already had the equipment in a shed so as soon as I seen that it was possible to make my own songs it was over with. then my grandad gave me a computer for school but I was definitely making beats, then for christmas I got a keyboard piano from my godmomma one of them big joints, I was hustling for the rest of the equipment I was making websites for people and selling candy at school. Once I got the money I rode my bike to Walgreens and got the karaoke mic they had for 30$ and I got some weak computer speakers and ever since then i've been doing this.
If you were to describe your sound to someone who’d never heard you before, what would you say?

Can you tell us about some of themes behind the single?

What inspires your music?
everything surrounding my life, my family, my Lady, my friends life experiences.
What advice would you give for anyone trying to achieve a similar sound to you?

If your music were a film or TV show which would it be?
Soulmen with bernie mac and samuel jackson.
Name an album you’re still listening to from when you were younger and why it’s important to you?
My dark twisted fantasy, The sideline story, The love below and my pops gave me some old master P joints to listen too. The reason these are important to me is because these albums kinda shaped me the way I think the way I sound helped me get through college.
