The Libertines Announce Monumental Gunnersbury Park Show

with special guests Supergrass, Soft Play, Lambrini Girls and many more.

The Libertines are set to rock London next summer with an enormous outdoor concert at Gunnersbury Park on Saturday, August 9, 2025. This highly anticipated event will feature British rock legends Supergrass as special guests, along with an eclectic lineup including Soft Play, Hak Baker, Lambrini Girls, and Real Farmer.

In a humorous video announcement, the band expressed their excitement about the unique venue, which holds a special place in their hearts. “The old white mansion in Gunnersbury Park is in one of our favourite films, The Lavender Hill Mob, so we thought we’d bring the Eastern Esplanade mob and some spiky guitars to that Arcadian glade in West London for a good ol’ homecoming knees-up,” said The Libertines. “Look forward to seeing you there, along with our friends Supergrass, Soft Play, Hak Baker, Lambrini Girls, and Real Farmer. Love Peter, Carl, Gary, and John X.”

Tickets will be available to the general public starting at 10 AM on Friday, November 8, 2024, via Ticketmaster.

Since their formation in the late 1990s, The Libertines have become a defining force in British music, known for their poetic lyrics, distinctive red military tunics, and the chemistry between frontmen Peter Doherty and Carl Barât. Their recent album, All Quiet on the Eastern Esplanade, released this April, shot to No. 1 on the UK charts and marks their second chart-topping release. The Gunnersbury Park show promises to be a triumphant homecoming for the band, now scattered across France, Denmark, Margate, and London.

Supergrass, the iconic Britpop band formed in Oxford in 1993, will bring a wave of nostalgia to the concert. With their explosive debut album, I Should Coco, Supergrass reached No. 1 on the UK charts, earning worldwide recognition with hits like “Alright” and “Caught by the Fuzz.” Danny Goffey of Supergrass reflected on their longstanding connection with The Libertines: “We first played with The Libertines 22 years ago back in 2002 when we took the fledgling band on tour with us. Wow… time flies when you’re having fun. See you there!”

The lineup also includes the British punk duo Soft Play (formerly Slaves), rising East End folk-punk artist Hak Baker, high-energy Brighton punk duo Lambrini Girls, and Dutch garage-punk group Real Farmer.

Tickets go on general sale at 10AM on Friday 8 November 2024 via www.ticketmaster.co.uk
