London's test plan Unleashes Debut Single "So Bored at Your Squat Rave"

Meet the trio behind the debut single's angsty narrative.

Crafted in the heart of north-east London at the band's own practice space and expertly recorded and mixed by Darren Jones, known for his work with The Fall and Gorillaz, ‘So Bored at Your Squat Rave’ is a raw and unfiltered expression of frustration and alienation set against a backdrop of pounding beats, gritty basslines, and impassioned vocals.

test plan is composed of Max Mason on drums and vocals, Michalis Fragkiadakis on guitar, and Rory Dickinson on bass and vocals. Their debut single delves into the psyche of an individual pushed to the brink, venting their anger and disillusionment with the world around them. Drummer/vocalist Max Mason sheds light on the song's narrative, saying, "“This song explores a character angry at the environment around them, the people, the drugs and how they feel. The ‘Squat Rave’ serves as a metaphorical vessel in the lyrics as a means for the character to direct their fear and anger.”

‘So Bored at Your Squat Rave’ is a daring fusion of scintillating noise, starkly vivid psychedelia, and fiery post-punk, offering a single that's both thrilling and thought-provoking. The band has already etched their presence in the vibrant London grassroots music scene, securing support slots alongside acts like Average Life Complaints, Libra Libra, Freddy Murky, and Bo Gritz.

Don't miss the chance to witness test plan's explosive debut single ‘So Bored at Your Squat Rave’ come to life at their headline show at The George Tavern in London on September 21st. It promises to be an unforgettable night of high-energy antics from this rising dance-punk outfit.
