Goat Girl, comprising Lottie Pendlebury, Rosy Jones, and Holly Mullineaux, has dropped their latest track "Motorway" from their much-anticipated third album, "Below the Waste," slated for release on June 7th, 2024, under Rough Trade Records. The album, co-produced by the band and John Spud Murphy (known for his work with Lankum and black midi), highlights a darker direction for their music.

Directed by the renowned choreographer and director, Holly Blakey, whose portfolio boasts collaborations with artists like Florence & The Machine, Harry Styles, and Rosalia, the accompanying video for "Motorway" exudes a surreal yet captivating vibe. Dressed in archival Vivienne Westwood pieces and styled by the notable Matthew Josephs, the dancers bring a distinctive flair to the visual narrative.

Blakey shared her thoughts on the collaboration, expressing admiration for Goat Girl's creativity and the opportunity to craft a film that explores themes of fantasy and introspection, all set against the backdrop of a motorway journey.

Reflecting on the genesis of "Motorway," lead singer Lottie Pendlebury revealed a desire to center the track around vocal dynamics. Drawing inspiration from a melange of influences, including pop icons from the noughties like Kid Cudi, the band experimented with an electronic-infused sound, blending it seamlessly with organic elements. The result is a track that resonates with themes of youthful nostalgia and the allure of the unknown journey.

Accompanying the track release are new tour dates spanning across Europe and the UK, offering fans a chance to experience Goat Girl's electrifying performances firsthand. From France to the Netherlands, and back to the UK, the tour promises to be a celebration of their evolving sound and artistic vision.

With their eclectic blend of genres and unwavering commitment to pushing artistic boundaries, Goat Girl continues to captivate audiences worldwide. As anticipation builds for the release of "Below the Waste" and the upcoming tour, fans can expect nothing short of a musical journey like no other.
